Amanda is based in East London. She is duel nationality - Swedish and British. Her grandmother Carin was an Icon painter and has been an influence on Amanda’s art. Amanda works in Health and Social Care. Having begun her journey at Art school this was an unexpected career path, but has proven to be a passion and is in keeping with her interest in what it means to be human and vulnerable
artist painting
Amanda draws inspiration from her experiences and relationships. She is fascinated by how the painting process reflects patterns within her life. She reflects on the power of the subconscious. Frequently, the paintings will unintentionally draw her attention to a personal discovery and often people who she admires and love will appear in the work as if by magic.
