Amanda is based in East London. She is duel nationality - Swedish and British. Her grandmother- an Icon painter and her roots in Sweden, have been a major influence in her paintings.
Amanda works in a Mental Health role. This has proven to be a passion and is in keeping with her interest in what it means to be human and vulnerable
Amanda draws inspiration from her experiences and relationships. She is fascinated by how the painting process reflects patterns within her life. She reflects on the power of the subconscious. Frequently, the paintings will unintentionally draw her attention to a personal discovery and often people who she admires and love will appear in the work as if by magic.
Amanda Horwood's art prints are Giclée reproductions of her original works, available in a variety of sizes, printed on high quality Hahnemuehle rag paper.
